Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing heavy off road mobile equipment. This
includes large loaders, water trucks, dozers, cranes and other support equipment at the General
Support levels of maintenance. Diagnoses sources of trouble and determines extent of repairs
required for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Must be able to schedule
and perform repairs and service in conjunction with inspector. Performs preventative
maintenance according to the technical manual -10/- 20. Maintains equipment records according
to AWRDS procedures as well as SOW. Must be able to look up, inventory, and order parts. Other
duties may also be assigned as needed.
Education:
High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience:
7 - 10 years experience in heavy equipment maintenance, must have driver’s license
Specialized Skills:
US Military School- training - preferred
Requirements: Pass background investigation, drug test, and medical exam. MUST HAVE
HONORABLE DISCHARGE
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 25 Lbs. continuously, 50 Lbs intermittently. Must be able to work in extreme
environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures. Must be able to work overhead
for extended periods. Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during an 84 hour
work week.
