Job SummaryTo perform basic maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and other small jobs related to mechanical, plumbing, generators, welding, air conditioners, electrical at the camp that may be required from time to time.
Duties and Resposibilities• Order equipment and parts through the line manager using purchase orders for goods and services necessary for the continued operations.
• Ensure heating plant and equipment is efficiently and effectively operated, make adjustments as necessary and reports defects and malfunctions to the relevant authority.
• Paint rooms and corridors.
• Maintain and repair all air-conditioners.
• Drilling and fitting shelves, soap dispensers, etc.
• Schedule complete regular maintenance, servicing and repair of plant & equipment in connection with these duties.
• Repair and maintain all plumbing.
• Clean light fittings and to test lighting systems weekly replacing where necessary minor parts such as tubes, bulbs, fuses starters and diffusers, in accordance with safe working practices.

• Un-blocking sinks, traps and waste pipes. Adjustment and rewashering of taps.
• Remedial action after break-ins, for example boarding up of broken windows.
• Monitor stock levels of consumable items such as fuel, grit, toiletries, light, and bulbs/tubes and arrange to replenish supplies in accordance with current procedures.
• Maintain appropriate records including intruder alarm logbook, repair orders, and heating system records book.
• Report emergencies in the case of faults with gas, electric and water supply to the camp, or where not immediately available technical services or regular contractors, and report minor faults on site manager.
Qualification• At least one year experience as Handyman an international company or with ISAF.
• High Scholl Graduate.

• Do not allow anyone carrying arms to enter the compound, except for the assigned armed guard stationed at the compound. Normally, the armed guard is only allowed inside when there is needs. In this case he should leave his weapon with his partner. If he is alone then he may come inside with his weapon unloaded but do not handle or take any responsibility for that weapon.
• Try and resist any attempts (forceful or otherwise) by unauthorized personnel trying to enter the Etisalat Flagship. Meanwhile call for the Security Officer or, in emergency situations; call on the QRF for assistance.
• Maintain continuous surveillance of your post throughout your period of duty, by foot patrol.
• Check that security lights are switched on at last light and switched off at first light the following morning.
• Check to ensure that all flagship doors and ground-floor windows are locked and secured at night and over the weekends and public holidays.
• Be aware of Fire Drills and location of fire extinguishers.
• Try and resist, without putting personal life at risk, any attempts (forceful or otherwise) of entering the Etisalat flagship by unauthorized personnel.

Must be able to stand for entire shift, squat, kneel, climb and work from ladders, and be able to lift 50 pounds at one time without difficulty.
Must have working knowledge and the ability to use various hand tools.

Distributes workload on a daily basis
Follows all EHS procedures and makes sure the department does as well
