Description
Northrop Grumman is seeking dynamic individuals to fill the role of Senior IED and Insurgent Network Analysts. Candidates will research, write and edit intelligence reports and assessments and must be capable of managing teams of analysts in support of tactical, strategic and special operations forces conducting counter insurgent/IED targeting. Candidate will develop both lethal and non-lethal targeting packages. The candidate shall train and mentor junior analysts to prepare them for deployment. The candidate will be expected to deploy to Afghanistan for at least 6 months on a rotational basis.

This position is contingent upon customer approval and contract award.

This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Project Description:
The IFES internship program is designed to engage graduate and undergraduate students pursuing a degree in international relations, economics, communications or a related field. The program offers students an insider's view of the realm of international development. Students who participate in this program will develop essential skills that are not attained in the academic world, enabling them to make a successful transition from academic to professional life. This internship is for a full-time paid position with the Afghanistan team.

Job Responsibilities:
The general duties of an intern will include, but not limited to:
? Conducting research on a topic of interest related to contemporary Afghanistan & Elections
? Providing logistical and administrative support to Afghanistan projects, including tracking of project expenditures and consultant deliverables, assisting in reviewing financial and contractual documents, and copying and scanning documents.
? Updating IFES Afghanistan internal web page
? Attending and reporting on internal and external meetings and other discussions about assigned projects
? Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

? Excellent research and communication skills
? Proficiency with Word and Excel
? Interest in the Southeast Asia region, preferably Afghanistan, elections and/or development
? Foreign language skills are preferred; knowledge of Farsi and/or Pashto is a plus
