Responsibilities:
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN AFGHNAISTAN.Provide on the ground support to those that arrive via DFS, MILAIR, and R&R flights. Assisting and managing flights going in/out of theater to include logistical support. Provide weekly status reports to JPO MRAP LNO/Operations Manager on all MRAP transitioning personnel. Serve as Liaison/SME for all MRAP personnel, OEM and VIP personnel. Assist in managing
special travel flights for MRAP personnel. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Prefer senior enlisted personnel with background on Operations Liaison Support and personnel accountability. Work requires a commitment to quality customer service. May be required to work an odd shift or overtime as required. Must be willing and medically cleared to work overseas and travel. Individual will be required at times to work shift hours in order to meet incoming personnel requirements. Must have operation experience OCONUS. Individual must be able to lift at least a minimum of 50 pounds. Valid US Driver’s License required. Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years college or vocational training in area of specialty plus twelve (12) years relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education/ experience for totaly of fourteen (14) years. Demonstrated leadership ability and good communication skills required. Must be willing to travel. Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Prior military experience is preferred. Collaborative work style, demonstrated leadership ability, ability to foster cooperation and teamwork, is required.
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Work Environment:
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environmentmay be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Work site is located in Kandahar, AF.
Equipment and Machines:
Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Attendance:
Regular hours will be Monday - Sunday 8:00am - 8:00pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
Other Essential Functions:
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required.
