Chief of OSC-I Army , Iraq

Position Description: 
Special Staff to the Section Chief of OSC-I Army with responsibility of advising the command on IT issues, coordinates with higher headquarters, and ensuring computer and communications security, setting up video teleconferences and facilitating user set-up for information technology. Performs website management and automation support to the OSC-I Army organization. Performs website management and automation support and ensures the common conference room work stations and screens are operational. Must receive and process classified material and performs special projects. Acts as the command?s representative for all information management (IM) and information technology (IT) issues. The IMO is responsible for issuing passwords, monitoring Internet use and ensuring proper IT security measures are followed within the command. The IMO acts as the liaison between the command and the J6 Director of Information Management (DOIM) and the local Help Desk. The IMO interfaces with the Help Desk for security, software and equipment upgrades and requests for services. The IMO ensures policies and procedures are updated and correct. Work in a flexible team environment to effectively manage and maintain vital operations and training information on a dynamic, highly flexible web-based reporting and data collection information management system.

Requirements: 
Required Education and Job Skills: ? Bachelor?s Degree ? Hold or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance ? Experience in web-based application development and implementation. ? Experienced in Microsoft Office suite ? Operational experience with HTML, XML, or other markup languages ? Proven ability to convert verbal ideas and guidance into creative, web-based products. ? Must have Information Management Officer (IMO) background ? Demonstrated experience working with computer software and hardware issues ? Strong Written and Oral Communication and Presentation skills ? Demonstrated ability to work individually and as a team member ? Demonstrated ability to work in a stressful, time-sensitive environment. Highly Preferred: ? Degree in computer science ? Security + and MCITP (Desktop Support/Administration) or Systems Administration; or CCNA (Net Admin) ? Experience with SharePoint and/or Knowledge Management with the ability to integrate into distributed applications ? Familiarity with International Relations and Communications ? Familiarity with Security Cooperation programs and USG inter-agency coordination processes, functions, roles and missions ? Familiarity with Governmental functions, roles and missions ? Ability to interact with military and civilian personnel of various professional disciplines
