Overview: THIS JOB IS LOCATED OVERSEAS IN AUSTERE ENVIRONEMENTS WITH A DEPLOYMENT ROTATION SCHEDULE Prepare updates, maintains, and provides flight information to flight crews and other operations and company personnel. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. citizenship required) • Assists in coordinating day-to-day flight operations in accordance with all Federal and company regulations and requirements. • Actively participates in implementing company safety policy and departmental standards and procedures. • Briefs Flight Crews on all aspects of flights. • Coordinate international flight planning activities. • Analyze and interpret a variety of weather reports, charts and forecasts. • Actively flight follows flights from departure through arrival. Monitors weather; communicates advisories to Flight Crews as necessary. • Coordinates specific Flight Crew requests in a timely and efficient manner; responds with options (when appropriate) to ensure the crews’ needs are met or exceeded. • Anticipates and proactively takes action to deal with future events, situations, and opportunities. • Effectively uses communication skills and tools to convey timely and accurate information to Flight Crews, Operations Management, Flight Operations
Personnel and others as needed to produce safe, efficient and timely flight planning services. • Works effectively with internal and external customers, as well as peers and management, to provide safe and efficient airlift support services to Flight Crews and customers. • Proactively understands the customer’s (internal and external) needs and takes the initiatives to ensure those needs are met or exceeded. • Proactively understands the operational needs of the business and takes the initiative to ensure those needs are met or exceeded. • Assist in maintaining flight logs, flight records and operational files. • Maintains knowledge of crewmember and aircraft locations. • As needed, helps to facilitate and communicate crew logistical arrangements. • Identifies ways to integrate process improvement and efficiencies for various job functions; communicates these improvement opportunities to management in a timely fashion. • Safeguard classified materials. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/
Experience: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required • High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum One (1) year of aviation experience. • Knowledge of weather theory, charts, and reports Preferred • Bachelor’s Degree. • Three (3) plus years of aviation experience.. • Previous operations experience in the military. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS • Dispatcher license preferred
