COIN Senior Advisor - Afghanistan

The COIN Senior Advisor (HQ) provides high‑level analysis and advice to the Commander, and as directed to other elements. The COIN Senior Advisor (HQ) shall interface with HQ staff and supported ISAF operational elements to enhance relative effectiveness in identifying and promulgating COIN best practices, and promoting unity of effort in support of COIN campaign guidance and overall operational intent. The COIN Senior Advisor shall assist in reviewing the performance and effectiveness of activities; conduct periodic campaign field assessments on behalf of Regional Commands; provide doctrinal guidance and support, write reports and operational assessments, and perform other tasks as directed by the Commander.
