The Forklift Operator is responsible for safe and effective
operation of straight mast and telescopic forklifts ranging from 2.5 to
30K.
Principal Accountabilities:
Responsible for Vertical Movement for Logistic Operations to/from trucks and trailers and proper store.
Responsible for operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures.
Close interaction with the Military for the movement materials, supplies, equipment and setting.
Operate Fork-Lift heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in
order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
Clean equipment as scheduled and/or required.
Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored.
Perform daily Operator safety and maintenance checks in accordance with manufacturer�s
Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
Knowledge & Skills:
Drivers License Required.
Forklift license and or equivalent certificates depicting models and capacity for which qualified.
Knowledge of equipment safety, equipment maintenance and storage.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop and have ability to work around
equipment, materials, supplies and other items required to be handled.
Work with limited supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned and qualified. Position is an extreme
danger zone where physical and mental stress are demanding. Living will
be in camp style conditions and restroom/bath and cafeteria are shared.
Must work minimum extended hours 7 days a week for long periods of time.
Must be fluent in speaking and understanding of the English Language. Level four (4) English.
Must pass English proficiency test.
Must be able read, write, understand, and speak English.
Physical Requirements:
Living
and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and
uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous
conditions. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and
under adverse conditions.
Experience:
Typically, three (3) to five (5) years experience using a minimum of a 6-Ton Fork-Lift in a logistical support operation.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Certificate of Completion of Fork-Lift/Heavy Equipment Operator training program.
