Maintenance Supervisor - OCONUS - Afghanistan

Overview: Responsible for maintenance scheduling and production control functions to provide safe and reliable aircraft in conjunction with a safe and efficient working environment. • Ensure that all work is accomplished in accordance with the company maintenance publications, manufacturers maintenance manuals, and the FAR’s. • Ensure that all forms are completed in accordance with the GMM and the FAR’s. • Ensure that all labor and materials at his principal base of operations are properly accounted for and are allocated responsibly. • Ensure that the work areas and equipment are clean and maintained and that all safety instructions are obeyed. • Participate as requested in company training activities that pertain to his work. • Review the Maintenance Due and Maintenance Tracking Reports and schedules manpower as necessary to complete each job per the mission requirements.
Education/
Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required. • At least three (3) years of maintenance experience as a certified mechanic on aircraft, the recent experience requirements of 65.83 of the FAR’s in the same category and class of aircraft as used by the certificate holder; or at least three (3) years experience with a certificated airframe repair station, including one (1) year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return to service required. • Knowledgeable of maintenance sections of the certificate holder’s maintenance manual, the operations specifications, the provisions and applicable parts of FAR Part 135. • 50% of work time is spent in an office setting performing non-manual labor and 50% in the hangar performing manual labor. Some overseas travel may also be required. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. citizenship required)LICENSES: Current FAA issued A&P Mechanic license.
General
Comments:
• Review the Maintenance Due and Maintenance Tracking Reports and ensure that spares provisioning is adequate for scheduled maintenance events. • Complete daily the Aircraft Status Report and sends to the Director of Maintenance, Deputy Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, Q.C. Manager, Materials Manager, Purchasing Supervisor and Logistics Supervisor. • Assist the Maintenance Manager with personnel rotations and rosters. • Assist the administrative staff with travel requirements. • Assist in the administrative supervision of company maintenance functions at his base of operations. • Maintain liaison with the Site Manager on common management problems so that the maintenance organization is able to effectively respond to operational requirements (remote sites). • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures at his base of operations.
