Fixed Wing Maintenance Lead - Afghanistan

Overview: Lead and coordinate the activities of mechanics, under the direction of the Hanger Supervisor. • Ensures that all work is accomplished in accordance with Company and Manufacturers maintenance manuals, and the FAR’s. • Assists with aircraft discrepancy write ups, and parts ordering • Ensures that all work package paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. • Is responsible for ensuring that all manpower, equipment and materials assigned to him/her are properly allocated and accounted for. • Reviews mission calendar to ensure mission aircraft needs are met • Attends mission aircraft debriefs • Must be capable of multitasking • Ensures that the work areas and equipment are clean and well maintained. • Ensures that all safety procedures and instructions are followed. • Participate in Company training activities that pertain to his area of responsibility.
Education/
Experience:
• At least ten (10) years of maintenance experience as a certified mechanic on aircraft, including the recent experience requirements of 65.83 of the FAR’s in the same category and class of aircraft as used by the certificate holder (e.g. large Twin Turbo Prop and Rotary Wing aircraft). • Minimum of two (2) years of lead experience preferred. • Understand and have the ability to implement the policies and procedures found in the maintenance sections
of the certificate holder’s maintenance manual. • Be familiar with the provisions and applicable parts of FAR Part 135. • Must have experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagrams, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates, and other industry data. Current FAA issued A&P Certificate. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. citizenship required)
General
Comments:
• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor with personnel rosters and scheduling. • Assists the Administrative staff with travel requirements. • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures. • Participate as needed in the Quality and Safety Audit program. • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
