A&P Technician - Dash 8 - OCONUS - Afghanistan

Overview:	A&P Technician for Dash 8 located in Afghanistan. • Accomplish scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance accordance with the company maintenance publications, manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, and the FARs. • Review maintenance tracking reports to facilitate maintenance and spares provisioning to meet mission requirements. • Complete daily aircraft status reports. • Ensure status of associated technical data is up to date at the base of operations. • Perform other duties as directed by maintenance management. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. citizenship required)
Education/ Experience:	•10 years minimum civilian A&P experience required • Must have at least 5 years of maintenance experience as a certified mechanic on DHC-8 aircraft, including the recent experience requirements of 65.83 of the FARs in the same category and class of aircraft. • Must have one (1) year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return to service must know the maintenance sections of the certificate holders maintenance manual, the operations specifications, the provisions and applicable parts of FAR Part 135.
General Comments:	LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS • Current FAA issued Mechanic certificate with both Airframe & Powerplant ratings.
